Join us at HBC as we study the Word of God daily and walk closer to the Lord. 
We encourage you also to SOAP Journal, as a means to talk with the Lord and see how He helps you grow in your faith.

Take your Bible reading on the road with these great tools, and don't miss a moment of sitting at the feet of Jesus daily. 

    

S.O.A.P. Journaling

S= read Scripture
O= Observe what happened
A= Application to your life
P=  write a Prayer response
SOAP Journaling is simply reading scripture and writing down your response to God's Word. Before you begin reading the daily selection of scripture, pray and ask God what He wants to say to you. Then read the day's selected chapter or verses.  
Then open your journal or notebook and write down the Scripture God just drew your attention to. 
Next, Observe. Write a sentence or two about what you just read, summarize what is happening in your own words. 
Then, Application. Write down how the Scripture you just read and wrote about applies in your life. 
Finally, Pray. Write a written prayer, a sentence or two in response to what God has just revealed to you. 
SOAP Journals are available at the church office. Or pick up any small notebook and use it to SOAP Journal.
